Software Engineering Intern Job Description About the Team The Rides Operations Team is responsible for developing and executing business strategies, such as how we balance our marketplace, grow and engage riders and drivers, or ensure operational excellence. Being in a country operations team - supported by a number of central operations teams and functions - we are ultimately accountable for customer experience and business performance. This requires us to balance doing versus influencing, and innovating to drive profitable growth while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of core processes. What You’ll Do Conduct analyses and deliver strategic recommendations to senior management to drive business decisions Plan and execute projects of varying time horizons and scope with minimal guidance, requiring excellent stakeholder and project management skills Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes Build, maintain and communicate reporting at city and regional-level, while working with a variety of central teams (Marketing, Product, Public Policy, Legal) to ensure that insights are embedded into all initiatives that impact Canada Basic Qualifications Current enrollment in the first year of a full-time graduate program (MBA or Master's degree) 3+ years of experience in roles which included project delivery, process optimization and implementation, stakeholder management, and data analysis Passion for improving user experience Outstanding communication and organizational skills; experience managing & influencing senior stakeholders and collaborating cross-functionally Phenomenal teammate with strong, proven leadership capabilities Ability to thrive with ambiguity; high capacity to learn Data-driven problem solving abilities, with a knack for turning data into meaningful insights that advise decisions Authorized to work in Canada (Summer duration- 12 weeks) Preferred Qualifications SQL skills with experience pulling and analyzing data
