Afrinection will be celebrating its first birthday this month! The highlight since our launch in late September last year was connecting with you, getting to know you, and hearing all about your personal and professional stories, sacrifices, ideas, ingenuity and most of all your love for the place we all call home: Africa. Because despite our differences in terms of where we live, what we do, and the sectors we work in - what binds us is this continent. That has been the most rewarding aspect of this journey so far!
A year ago, Afrinection started as a dream, and that dream was to unite Africans and those who wish to see her grow and prosper. The result: a growing online platform that is enabling the establishment of meaningful connections between African start-ups, entrepreneurs, innovators, professionals, job seekers, investors and larger private companies. We are working with Ambassadors and editorial specialists from across the country, who are doing a sterling job in growing our footprint.
Since our launch, hundreds of job seekers, investors, professionals, and entrepreneurs have registered on our Network to make connections whilst having the opportunity to highlight what drives them and their ideas through in-depth interviews posted on our blog, forum, and YouTube channel.
At the moment, Afrinection is in the process of growing into an entirely new ecosystem, one that drives collaboration and talent identification with new and exciting features to be incorporated before the end of 2017. It is my hope that we continue to learn from one another, grow as professionals, and help each other identify job, investment and innovation opportunities via this platform. Here is to another exciting year with Afrinection. Join us on this journey and get your profile today!
Best regards, Kifle
