Afrinection recently interviewed Rudy Casbi, founder of La Nouvelle Afrique to understand his motivation behind the initiative seeking to promote African businesses globally.
Q. Where did you grow up and what/who inspired you to set up your start-up, social enterprise, or innovation?
I am currently 30 years of age and launched La Nouvelle Afrique in 2018. Our mission aims to develop business for African companies by organizing meet ups. We assure the delivery of contact emails, phone numbers, as well as organize meetings to foster business development for our clients. I grew up in France and one of my parents being from the French West Indies (Guadeloupe). In the future, my vision and mission is to create a large networking platform building a solution for Africa and the world. In 20 years, our expanded vision is to build a 3000 strong company bringing real business development solutions to African businesses.
Q. What problem does your startup or business solve?
La Nouvelle Afrique facilitates business development via interactions. With our service, companies can engage each other conduct business.
Q. What does innovation mean to you and how do you translate that definition to the real world?
Innovation to me finds unique ways identifying emerging business with potential and helping become successful by introducing them to the right players who can help grow their services and offerings.
Q. In your opinion, what is the key missing element in Africa's sustainable growth from an economic perspective?
Building our own companies together and define our continents own destiny!
Q. Tell us about a challenging experience in your life or business and how you overcame it?
I have "failed" on ten ocassions in my life and I always got back up, moving forward.
