3. Zafree Papers, Ethiopia

Zafree Papers envisions a future where sustainability and innovation harmonise to craft eco-conscious solutions, securing a thriving future for generations to come. Situated in Ethiopia, they lead the way in converting agricultural waste into premium, sustainable paper goods, offering both value and environmental awareness to their varied clientele.

4. Wuchi Wami, Zambia

Wuchi Wami, founded in 2018, is a private limited company led by seasoned executives, focusing on sustainable beekeeping training and the processing of organic honey and beeswax. The company has moved away from traditional practices and partners with a cooperative of 1244 farmers, producing 125 tons of honey each year from 5020 beehives. This initiative supports the Sustainable Development Goals and protects forests.

5. EcoPost, Nairobi

Ecopost is a social enterprise focused on tackling the issues of urban waste management, specifically plastic pollution, while also addressing chronic youth unemployment, deforestation, and climate change. Their commitment to environmental excellence is integrated throughout their business operations, ensuring a sustainable approach.

Through the recycling of waste plastic, they manufacture eco-friendly plastic lumber profiles that can be used in various industries, including fencing, road signage, and outdoor furniture.
